Homologation

To get prototypes, one-off or modified vehicles on the road, they will need to be homologated.

At VDL ETS we do not stop after delivery of the vehicle, we can also support with the homologation. Contacting the legal instances and performing the required tests is all part of our services.

 Use case: The Sinterklaastrein in Helmond is a populair attraction around Sinterkaas time. In 2025, VDL ETS removed the internal combustion engine and replaced it with an electric drive line. The vehicle was tested to fulfil the R100 requirements and the RDW renewed the vehicle registration details.

From now on, Sinterklaas is going green!
