Example 1
Simplified test rig for simulation of kinematic motion of air spring in durability test
Highlights:
- Simulation of kinematic motion of air spring with a simplified setup
- Tuning of input using MTS RPC Pro iteration software
- No vehicle hardware required (e.g. wheel carrier, control arms, bushings, bearings)
- In case of a spring strut, the original damper is replaced with an in-house developed dummy damper
- Setup fits in climate chamber for testing under extreme conditions

Full kinematics test rig for simulation of kinematic motion of air spring in durability test with 3 inputs: vertical wheel travel, steering and stabilizer bar load
Highlights:
- Full simulation of kinematic motion of air spring
- Other inputs besides vertical wheel travel possible, e.g. steering input, stabilizer load input
- Tuning of input(s) using MTS RPC Pro iteration software
- Test setup uses a complete vehicle suspension corner
