Example 1
Simplified test rig for simulation of kinematic motion of air spring in durability test

Highlights:

Simulation of kinematic motion of air spring with a simplified setup
Tuning of input using MTS RPC Pro iteration software
No vehicle hardware required (e.g. wheel carrier, control arms, bushings, bearings)
In case of a spring strut, the original damper is replaced with an in-house developed dummy damper
Setup fits in climate chamber for testing under extreme conditions

Example 2
Full kinematics test rig for simulation of kinematic motion of air spring in durability test with 3 inputs: vertical wheel travel, steering and stabilizer bar load

Highlights:

Full simulation of kinematic motion of air spring
Other inputs besides vertical wheel travel possible, e.g. steering input, stabilizer load input
Tuning of input(s) using MTS RPC Pro iteration software
Test setup uses a complete vehicle suspension corner
In case of a spring strut, the original damper is replaced with an in-house developed dummy damper
In case of unavailability, original suspension components can be replaced with in-house developed dummy parts (e.g. wheel carrier, control arms)
