Automotive Campus 59 5708 JZ Helmond The Netherlands
At VDL ETS' Component Testing Lab, we test components under realistic and extreme conditions. From electric drivelines to cooling systems and battery packs - we validate performance, durability and safety to the highest standards.
Our approach: flexible, fast and accurate
Thanks to a modular test setup and advanced measurement and control technology, we can quickly switch between different test scenarios. We simulate thermal, mechanical and electrical loads to predict component behaviour in practice. Our test engineers work closely with development teams to design customised test programmes.
What we test:
- Electric power trains (E-motors, inverters, transmissions)
- Batteries and battery modules
- Cooling and thermal management systems
- Charging components and power electronics
- Automotive parts
- High-tech components
- Aerospace parts
- Any part or (sub)system subjected to vibration, climate conditions, contamination, vacuum, pressure or other induced forces
Vibration testing to assess the durability of components under various conditions.
Climate Testing together with additional needs.
Our corrosion and chemical resistance testing facilities ensure that materials and components can withstand harsh environments and aggressive substances.
Evaluating the pressure limits and burst strength of components.
Components are tested under vacuum using helium as a tracer gas to ensure they are completely leak-free under diverse conditions.
Strain gauges provide a detailed picture of mechanical stress—translating physical deformation into precise electrical signals.
Precision meets performance—capturing geometry and mechanical behavior with accuracy
Whether validation in the development phase or verification for series production - our Component testing lab helps you reduce risk and accelerate innovation.
